About Hadley Hills Wood Products
At Hadley Hills Wood Products, we have a passion for crafting unique and stunning live-edge furniture using a variety of wood species. Our journey began in 1977 when our founder after graduating high school began his carpentry career as a carpenter apprentice.
In 1978 he joined the Marine Corps and performed his duties as a combat engineer constructing various building projects. While stationed in North Carolina in 1982 he built his first live edge coffee table and developed a passion for creating unique one of a kind furniture pieces.
After honorably leaving the Marine Corps he returned to the Carpentry field and retired with 30 years of service from the Carpenters Union.
Humble Beginnings
Our business took shape in 2007 with the purchase of a TimberKing 1600 portable sawmill. Despite the economic downturn in 2008, we persevered by cutting logs for people and selling live edge wood slabs and lumber.
As the economy recovered, we decided to formally establish Hadley Hills Wood Products as an S Corporation, allowing us to further expand our customer base and services.
Our core services include milling logs, flattening slabs, planning and sanding lumber or live edge wood slabs, and constructing unique commissioned projects for customers.
We take pride in our ability to transform urban trees that would otherwise be discarded into beautiful, usable lumber and live edge wood slabs.
Over the years, we have built a variety of custom live edge dining tables, coffee tables, floating shelves, and other furniture pieces for both residential and commercial clients.
A Craftsman Passionate About His Art and the Environment
Our founder’s extensive experience and commitment to quality have earned him the title of "Master Carpenter." He believes that the beauty of live edge wood speaks for itself, and his goal is to create stunning pieces that showcase the material’s natural elegance.
With a degree in Technological Sciences (TSC.AA) and a focus on alternative energies, He also strives to remain environmentally conscious in our work.
